Gone Fishin'
Saturday, June 1st 2007, several San Miguel students joined the Rotary Club on a hot day to go fishing.
6th grader, Adrian Ramos shares his story of the day:
"Our fishing trip was the best ever. First, we all went to the school at 8:30. We ate breakfast and waited for the bus to arrive. It finally arrived and we all jumped on. The warm breeze was coming fast and we were all bouncing with joy to get our fishing poles. We began fishing and I caught 5 small fish. Then I saw it, the biggest bass ever. I almost couldn't reel him in, but I was too strong for it. We also had a cook out and ate some yummy hot dogs and cool soft drinks. Towards the end of the afternoon, it was getting time to leave and the Rotary club volunteers gave us new fishing poles. This was the best way to spend a Saturday!"
