The San Miguel School, an all-boy, urban, Lasallian middle school, is seeking a full-time School Administrative Assistant. The ideal candidate will have a friendly and approachable demeanor, office administration experience, a strong work ethic, ability to speak Spanish and a desire to integrate technology into each facet of the front office.

Job Description:

The school administrative assistant serves as the face of the school: greeting and directing people at the front door, answering phones and serving as the primary contact for the school community needing general information. It is important that the school administrative assistant is a friendly and welcoming person, and should be comfortable working with middle school boys.

This position will interface with families, students, nurse, volunteers, school administrators, faculty, and staff in regards to record keeping for attendance, student sicknesses and injuries, school tuition, school lunch, arrangements for student transportation, parent teacher conferences, and awards ceremonies. In addition to the essential administrative office duties, the individual will also perform specific tasks supporting the different departments within The San Miguel School.

The individual will be expected to use and improve the use of technology in the front office including but not limited to Google Suite including Gmail and calendar, MS Suite including Excel, and our student database Renweb/FACTS. Ability to speak Spanish is preferred but not required.  School experience is also preferred. Most importantly, the candidate must be comfortable multi-tasking, prioritizing tasks, and adapting to the needs of the school community. Successful candidate must pass a national background check.
