Peer Mentor Program

Every incoming 5th grader is paired with an 8th-grade mentor who walks alongside him throughout his first year at San Miguel. Mentors and mentees sit together at lunch each day, and build a consistent, supportive relationship grounded in friendship and guidance. Throughout the year, they also take part in special activities, from pumpkin carving and apple picking to service projects and team-building events, that strengthen their bond beyond the classroom.

The Peer Mentor Program plays a vital role in helping 5th graders adjust to a new school environment with confidence and belonging. At the same time, 8th graders grow as leaders and role models, remembering the impact their own mentors once had on them. This unique bond fosters trust, responsibility, and the spirit of brotherhood that defines the San Miguel experience.
